‘Teen Mom 3’ canceled already by MTV; Alexandria Sekella claims they weren’t crazy enough

Teen Mom -There is one simple reason why we find “Teen Mom” and all of its various counterparts to be problematic entertainment, and it’s this. They come on a network in MTV that demands ratings in order to be successful, and what drives big ratings? Drama. “Teen Mom 3” really didn’t have it in comparison to the other two editions in the franchise, and you could say that this is one of the primary reasons now why the show’s been canceled after just one year on the air.

In a statement confirming the news about the show’s cancellation, all the network opted to do was wish all of the ladies that were on the show this past year good luck with all of their future plans and career ambitions.

“MTV will not be moving forward with a second season of Teen Mom 3. We’re thankful to Briana, Katie, Mackenzie, Alex and their families for sharing their stories as they navigate young parenthood and for helping to have a positive impact on the importance of teen pregnancy prevention.”

But is there still something more to this story? Well, one of these ladies in Alexandria Sekella was bold enough to take to her Twitter and claim that the real reason why her version of the show didn’t succeed was because, as noted, there were not enough crazy hijinks to make people interested in watching:

“Guess we weren’t enough of train wrecks for it to be interesting. America wants to watch crazies.”

In the end, it really doesn’t matter why the show was canceled so much as that it was, and these women are going to be able to now go back to their everyday lives. In the end, they’re probably going to be thrilled that they didn’t have anything on here as awful as we have seen on some of the other shows, mostly since they won’t be nearly as embarrassed many years down the road.

Are you going to be sad to see “Teen Mom 3” go, and did you actually prefer your show without all of the drama? Be sure to share your thoughts below!
