‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: Sophie Turner has kind words for Jack Gleeson
Remember all of that discussion recently about Jack Gleeson quitting acting after “Game of Thrones“? This was a story that took fire in recent weeks, and it was quick for many to start to create some of their own theories as to why. One of the dominant ones was actually rather simple, as many out there believe that some of the heated reaction that he has to his role of Joffrey could be a reason why. This is a guy who, after all, plays one of the most terrible human beings alive. It would hardly be a shock to see fans respond to him with some sort of vitriol, and for this all being somewhat tricky for him to deal with. (But, we should add that this is all speculation.)
What we can say now is that, once again, Jack is not Joffrey. He’s really a nice guy! The latest batch of proof, in case nothing else that we have said is enough, comes via some new comments that Sophie Turner gave to MyFanbase:
“He’s so nice and I just feel for him. But I mean it’s a credit to his acting that he gets all this hate because he is the nicest guy and there’s not one bad bone in his body.”
Turner had quite an interesting story as Sansa this past season, with one of the greatest benefits being that she was able to escape Joffrey’s wrath. Now, she is married to Tyrion, even if neither one of them really wanted it to be so. At least he is being somewhat kind to her, and not rushing her into anything that she does not want to do.
Do you feel for Gleeson in a way, even if he signed up for this role and owes much of his success to the role? Be sure to share what you think below, and be sure to also click here if you want to read some more news about how “Game of Thrones” is shaping its home country’s economy.

Drives me nuts when actors are treated badly for characters they play. I love the show, and like everyone despise Joffrey, but for the love of god, don’t obsess over it so much you hate the actor.

It is very sad that actors playing evil characters get so much ignorant hatred thrown at them. If people would only stop and THINK! You’re amazing, Jack Gleeson!!
