‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11, episode 10: One drunken Christmas
While holiday episodes are not necessarily a necessity for “Two and a Half Men,” it does seem appropriate that we are going to have one this year. This marks the first holiday for new series regular Amber Tamblyn, and an opportunity to therefore better integrate her into the world of the show … which is basically a procedure that includes having her get involved in some sort of awkward situation that typically ties back into family and friends.
Last year, the awkward situation that we had was Walden deciding that he really wasn’t that interested in having material possessions; therefore, he met Kate, and helped to make her dreams come true while ruining his chances at a romantic relationship in the process by lying about who he really was. (We’re still hoping that these two are endgame in some way.)
This time around, you have Alan believing that he met the woman of his dreams (despite her originally being a man), Tamblyn’s Jenny deciding to ring in the holidays with some sort of terrible cocktail of booze, and also some other random hijinks related to dating and holiday misfortune. We feel like this is the time that the show could choose to kick off more of a long-term storyline if they wanted to; after all some of the pieces are now in place. We just hope that there is enough humor that fits within the world of the show, and very little of it is forced by “getting people together for the holidays.” While last year was great around this time, season 9 for Walden was a little bit of a misery. (Then again, so was most of that season, as producers were still getting used to Ashton Kutcher.)

The show Alan guy is too sleazy. Yes he’s funny as straight guy appearing gay but not every episode FFS. It is not funny Jenny in house scoring with the chicks and its not funny a tran op in house. This is a comedy and shock is not needed. His reaction to a tran op should be betrayal and hiding it. Making humour from it not acceptance. A sensitive subject, but tran op slept with someone without telling them. Copy the pet detective scene with Jim Carrey in shower naked from a kiss.
