‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Stephen Amell on a Brother Blood revelation
While we may know that there are some very clear connections between Sebastian Blood and the apparent big bad of “Arrow” season 2 in Brother Blood, you still have to wonder when the other shoe is going to drop for Oliver Queen. This guy isn’t going to go through the entire season just continuing on some sort of reign of terror without our hero being in the know … right?
Well, we can at least confirm now that by the end of the fall finale next week, our hero will at least find out that there is a Brother Blood, even though how much he knows beyond that is debatable. Speaking about the subject in a TV Guide interview, here is what Stephen Amell had to say:
“He finds out about his Brother Blood persona before we wrap the fall run, but he doesn’t discover that that person is connected to Sebastian.”
On a different note, you’re also going to be finding out who Brother Blood is really working for during the fall finale … and we really hope that it’s not Malcolm Merlyn, just because that would be the most obvious thing ever at this point.
Also, Katie Cassidy teases to the website that when it comes to Laurel’s story, you are going to see her get involved more in Oliver’s life. Does that mean that there’s another hookup coming up? Not necessarily, but at least the two are going to start spending a little bit more time together, and hopefully this will help to get Laurel out of her moody period that includes pill-popping and drinking galore.
The first part of the “Arrow” spectacular featuring The Flash starts tonight, and if you want to see a sneak peek all about the character’s arrival, just be sure to visit the link here. We’ll have a full review of this episode coming up very soon.

I would also like to see less of Felicity. She’s too overrated for me. I want to see more of Laurel, Sara, Roy etc.. But mostly Laurel. She is a major part of DC and Green Arrow canon unlike Felicity. It’s about time the writers stopped with this Felicity hype and focused on their leading lady and her journey towards becoming Black Canary.

I couldn’t agree more with these comments! Although I like Felicity, I agree that her character has completely taken over. I used to find her character quirky and enjoy listening to her embarrassing sexual innuendos. However, lately I feel like they are too forced, predictable and not all that funny.
I also don’t buy all this “Olicity” hype. I really don’t see any sexual tension between Oliver and Felicity. To me they are friends and nothing more. I just find it disappointing that the writers let themselves be guided by the Olicity shippers. I mean, the idea that Oliver would be jealous of Barry and show it is RIDICULOUS. This is the same guy who watched Laurel, the love of his life, having a serious relationship with his best friend and never showed any signs of jealousy, even though he was in love with her. I want less Olicity and more Laurel!
The writers need to focus on Laurel’s character development this season and give her the storylines she deserves. She is the leading lady afterall. Laurel should be near the front of the line in the character development department — not sidelined to accommodate the latest trend.

I am so glad we are starting to hear more about the Laurel Lance story lines, I too am over the Olicity and Felicity news. There are other characters in the show, including the lead actress. While I like Felicity I don’t think her character should be at the detriment of other characters, like Laurel, Diggle, Roy and Thea. For me Team Arrow will always be Green Arrow, Black Canary, Red Arrow, Speedy and Sin, but never Diggle and Felicity. While I think these two new characters have been added to move plot along or provide extra story lines it has now becoming totally unbelievable. For example, Hacking in Russian, soil sample analysis, diffusing bombs, and providing jackets with bombs, where will it end.
I like that ARROW is rooted in reality somewhat, but some of the miracle skills are over the top for my liking. But when other characters have real problems like grief, depression and PTSD then parts of the fandom have to hate the character. Is it any no wonder why we have such a huge problem in modern society with people accepting mental health problems as a real health issue. I am glad that the writers show both Oliver and Laurel struggling with the burden of the life they find themselves in, it’s just a shame a few other characters don’t show signs of normal emotions in continuity, as per just for that last minute of an episode. However, I suppose if they did then those parts of the fandom would hold the character in even more esteem. I call this a double standard.
Anyway reading the spoilers for episodes 2.09 onwards I am excited about the new character development for Laurel, Thea and Roy. Bring it on!

About time we had more Laurel in this show! Love her. Sick of it becoming the Felicity show. -_-

I definitely agree! Felicity has completely taken over, to the detriment of all other female characters on the show. They could use her screen time to flesh out her character a bit beyond the geeky, cute IT-girl, rather than shoving her into every scene just to provide “Olicity” moments.

Great til you mentioned Laurel being involved in Oliver’s life. Ugh.
