‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11, episode 7 review: Jeff Probst brings home the bacon

It begins -As a diehard “Survivor” fan, we have to say that we were hoping for a little bit more from Jeff Probst on tonight “Two and a Half Men” episode. When they were talking about the man making some sort of cameo appearance, they really were not kidding at all. Probst appeared in just one scene at the end of the episode, even though he was mentioned a little bit earlier.

But who knew that Probst loved bacon so much … or doing so with his clothes off? (That seems like a very dumb move considering the grease.) We at least give Jeff some props here given that he was willing to play such an exaggerated version of himself. In real life, the host is a married man and stepdad … and also has some books for young adults. That’a stark difference than the man who redefined the baconater during this episode.

As for the rest of the story, there were some funny moments … but it was so predictable you could have seen it coming a mile away. Jenny transformed everyone into a lesbian, Alan had to deal with a jealousy Lyndsey, and Alan also kept Walden from getting laid. Nothing really happened at all save for Probst appearing, given that even Lyndsey and Alan “getting back together” didn’t really happen, once they realized that the fun was gone out of their relationship when he forced her to try and make a choice between the two.

In the end, this was just another standard “Two and a Half Men” episode. You won’t really remember it in a few weeks, but perhaps it was fun enough for just getting you through a hard day. We just wish that with Amber Tamblyn’s addition, you would at least find her something more to do. Even Charlie Harper did have a few stories occasionally beyond sleeping with people and drinking. Grade: C.
