‘American Horror Story: Coven’ episode 7 preview: Is Jessica Lange’s Fiona found out?
Over the past few weeks on “American Horror Story: Coven,” Fiona has been able to get by using all sorts of crazy tricks and manipulation to make others think that she had nothing at all to do with the death of young Madison … when of course she clearly did, killing her in fear that she would be overtaken by a woman becoming the new Supreme in her place. It wasn’t until we learned later that she was not the Supreme at all that things really started to get interesting.
But is her biggest secret about to be known by someone other than Spalding? The promo below for next week’s episode certainly makes it seem like it, as Cordelia’s new power is going to aid her in a way that is great for her, but pretty terrible for her mother.
While there are some other stories teased here during this episode (including some more mayhem for a recently-unveiled villain and Lavaeu getting a surprise visitor), we are still curious with the question: How long can she really keep us this game? She has always been someone who likes to defer things, whether we are talking about her own future, her mortality, or even how she wants to treat other people. It’s a “live in the moment” sort of philosophy that has suited her very well at times in life. However, it has also cost her a good deal of trouble … and it is going to continue to for at least a little while longer, if she keeps it up.
At least as a whole, this season is starting to pick things up when it comes to the storytelling, as Danny Huston added some of the masculine energy that the show has been missing with Kyle more or less relegated to mumbles and angry cries as of late.
