‘The Good Wife’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Alicia and Cary fight for their new firm

The latest -Sunday night’s episode of “The Good Wife” is entitled “The Next Day,” and for good reason. After all, the entire episode revolves more or less around a very important question: What in the world comes next for some of these characters?

For example, the last time that we saw Alicia Florrick, she was being unceremoniously sent away from Lockhart Gardner along with Cary after the news leaked that the two were planning to leave. This allowed Will to embark on one of the nastiest fits out there, with him also accusing the two of poaching clients. This is going to really be the issue that plays out over some of the upcoming episodes, as it has to be determined whether or not Alicia and Cary have any leg to stand on when it comes to if they are in the clear to take away people that they claim are there for them, and not for the firm.

The best part about this entire sneak peek below? The presence of Richard Kind as he tries to take on the battle between Alicia / Cary and Diane / Will. This show excels at being able to find so many great guest stars, especially some that actually come from the world of comedy rather than drama. This is just one of them. Kind brings a comedic energy at times to the scenes, but also an intensity. He’s not the kind of guy that you want to mess with, even if he handles his business in a little bit of a different way than the average attorney.

From here, there are also some great zingers about the future of the firm, and about how Alicia and Cary, at least according to their attackers, are running their business out of a house. That may actually be true for the time being, but not for long.
