‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2, episode 5 preview: How Cat’s high school reunion is ruined

The latest -Is someone out to make Cat’s high school reunion an even more miserable experience than high school itself? Based on the new sneak peek that we have for you now from Monday night’s all-new “Beauty and the Beast” episode, it certainly appears this way.

In the video below, executive producers Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper do their part to tease what is going to be an interesting episode. Even though Vincent is starting to get some of his memories back, including some of how he feels about Kristin Kreuk’s character, she is desperate to try and get a sense of her old life again. This means embarking on what should be a fun night to reconnect a little bit with her past, and spend time with some people that she really has not spent too much time at all with over the past several years.

This is where things start to twist, and not for the better. As the execs note, a beast ends up crashing the party and threatening Cat … and it’s not Vincent. Instead, this is one out to destroy him, and the “new” Catherine quickly gives way to the old one. Rather than worrying too much about herself or the reunion, she becomes almost instantly transfixed on making sure that she does anything within her power to ensure that her beast at-times boyfriend is okay. While she knows that he has been tasked on some level with getting rid of beasts, she doesn’t quite know more information than that. Hopefully, taking on this new threat is in turn going to yield her an opportunity to get some more information on her own.

As we have heard already, there is at least one other new beast surfacing soon in addition to the one in the video … and that one is a woman who could offer up a temptation to Vincent. But we’ll have a little bit more to share on that one soon.

For now, let’s just ask for your thoughts on this video, and the expectations that you have for this potentially-crazy hour. Click here if you want to see more from this episode, and we’ll have our full review online after it airs.
