‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 8 preview: Big stories for Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson

What's next? -Just when you think that Dr. Bailey’s life in Seattle would seem like it is suddenly starting to come together, you have something crazy like this happen. Is her personal life put together? Sure, at least in the form of Ben being present back in Seattle, but who knew that would be a bad thing? With Ben deciding that he doesn’t want to be away from her anymore, she is somehow disappointed in him.

This installment of “Grey’s Anatomy” airing next week is going to touch on events much more significant than we saw in tonight’s Halloween episode, which felt at times mostly like an hour designed to just give you a little chance to smile after trick-or-treating. In addition to Bailey suffering a breakdown, we are also going to see the continuation of the Meredith / Cristina story that has become increasingly tense, as a betrayal involving the two of them (not to be confused with “Betrayal,” the hit ABC show) will have them each scrambling.

Take a look at the full synopsis below:

“The issues between Meredith and Cristina hit a boiling point when one of them ultimately betrays the other at the hospital. Derek tells Jackson that he needs to let go and allow the second year doctors to work on his patients, and April and Matthew make a bold decision about their relationship. Meanwhile, Bailey has difficulties with Ben’s return.”

Do you want to know some more, less-dramatic news? Well then, it feels like April and Matthew’s next step is getting a little more physical out in front of an ambulance (which seems a tad random, no?). The one thing we’d love to know more about that neither piece of material here references is just what comes next for Alex and Jo. We know that there is something more still to come courtesy of James Remar, but there is no confirmation as to when that reappearance from this character will be. It could be next week, or a few months down the road. Either way, the man clearly needs some closure.
