‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: The good (and bad) news for Caroline and Tyler

You have waited on “The Vampire Diaries” since the beginning of season 5 to get more when it comes to Caroline and Tyler, and we finally saw the arrival of Michael Trevino back to Mystic Falls during the episode that aired on The CW last week. It was hardly under the happiest circumstances ever, as we were watching his character alongside the other mourners for Bonnie Bennett at the witch’s impromptu funeral.

As are we going to see a happy couple here soon? Let’s start here with the good news. According to TV Guide, the two will waste very little time getting close to one another … which they seem to do on this show almost every time that they are in the same vicinity of one another. However, there is also going to be some bad news coming down the pipeline for the two that could very well cause a massive amount of trouble. We won’t dish any more for the sake of not giving everything away, but it will likely divide fans in the same way that many other twists on “The Vampire Diaries” have over the years.

For those of you hoping that this “twist” is somehow Klaus resurfacing and the two characters running back into each other’s arms (possibly in slow motion), prepare to be disappointed. Joseph Morgan still has a role on “The Originals,” and it’s far too early for there to be a ton of crossovers. While we’re sure that they will happen in time, you have to let the spin-off have some time to breathe so that it can develop some of its own fans, and not just people who are watching thanks to their love for the original.

Tomorrow night’s episode is going to have its fair share of scary moments; after all, it is Halloween. We’ll just have to wait and see if there is some relationship drama coming to go along with it.
