‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Daniela Ruah’s Kensi heads back to school

Big news -Over the past several years, we have seen Daniela Ruah’s character of Kensi on “NCIS: Los Angeles” take on a number of difficult, scary challenges; so with that in mind, who knew that one of her biggest struggles would come from a place in high school that few people really take too seriously as adults?

In the preview below from Tuesday night’s new episode (entitled “Big Brother”), you quickly get a sense of just how emotional the Kensi character gets over something like going back to school. She insists to Sam, Callen, and basically everyone else that she has no intention whatsoever of going back into school, even undercover in an effort to try and figure out a case. Why is that? Her answer is that she does not want to revisit a time in her life that was incredible painful. Everyone (including Deeks) tries their best to offer her some sort of consolation / praise, but all of it seems to be to no avail as Kensi insists that she has no real interest at all in revisiting the mess that caused her so much trouble years ago.

Thanks to this, the shift in this scene quickly turns to trying to figure out who can end up taking Kensi’s place. Someone still has to take the spot at the school, and Sam and Callen end up trying to pick who has to be thrown to the wolves … or at least thrown to teenagers obsessed with One Direction, bad lunches and bullying each other. This is going to be a heck of a crazy episode, and one that we hope will be as entertaining as it seems to be in theory.
