‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: What McKinley High student is Lea Michele filming with?

Lea Michele -Is Rachel Berry on “Glee” about to return to Lima, Ohio? The only other explanation for what we are about to tell you is that one of the characters from McKinley High is going to head over to New York City in an effort to get a better lay of the land.

Regardless of the circumstances, what we can tell you now is as follows: Lea Michele, according to her own Twitter account, is filming a scene with none other than the man famous for Sam Evans in Chord Overstreet. These two characters are not ones with the richest of histories by any means. Their biggest connections come mostly in that Sam used to date Quinn, who at one point also dated the late Finn Hudson. They did also win Nationals together, but that is the sort of bond that every member of New Directions shares with another. That’s not exactly as unique as two people working together.

The easier explanation here is that Rachel will be back in Lima to celebrate landing her role on “Funny Girl,” which makes a heck of a lot of sense when you consider that this is something that she has fought for ever since the beginning of her time on the show. However, shouldn’t she be busy preparing for the role? It also would make some sense for her to be giving Sam a tour of the Big Apple, at least in the event that he doesn’t want to be with his new love interest anymore (the school nurse), or if he convinces her to take off to New York with him. Either one could make for a pretty interesting story, at least depending on how they are developed for the show.

Right now, though the bigger objective is just waiting for the show to come back. “Glee” season 5 returns to air on November 7 with “A Katy or a Gaga,” and it shouldn’t be too long now at all before you get to see some more previews that give you a better idea of just what you can expect.

One other reason that Sam could be heading to New York? Based on what Jayma Mays said recently, it feels more and more like McKinley High is simply going to get the ax by the end of this season, and the focus is going to shift more away from some of the newbies and the school where New Directions first got their start.
