‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2, episode 2 video: Can Cat save Vincent … again?

The latest -On Monday night’s “Beauty and the Beast” episode, you are literally going to feel something that you just felt: The feeling of watching Cat try to figure out how Vincent can be saved. Yes, the deja vu is frustrating, since we don’t really know just how much is different between where we were before last week’s premiere, and where we are now going into “Kidnapped.” Sure, Cat has at least tried to figure out how to get through to Vincent, but he still doesn’t really remember anything. Plus, he’s now on the run again.

The clip for Monday’s episode starts with a reminder of some good news: Muirfield is dramatically weakened! Hooray! This may make you jump up and down in celebration before you remember one other little problem: That really hasn’t solved much of anything. Vincent is still being hunted, and as a matter of fact, the tension is amplified now that he’s stronger than before.

But don’t worry since Cat has a plan! It’s just not what you think. In the sneak peek video below, you can see her try to stress the great importance of trying to woo Vincent by tapping into his emotional side, which could mean that we have some sort of beast-related date coming up in the near future. Sound fun? It could be interesting to see how he acts in a situation where he is being manipulated and/or seduced to a certain degree. Even if he doesn’t remember, maybe she can at least convince him that there is a reason to stick around long enough to tap into something.

As we saw on Monday, “Beauty and the Beast” has a problem that is even greater than just trying to keep Vincent safe. They have to take on the fierce battle of viewers when you have so many other things coming on Monday night. A 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic is not that unexpected given the fact that the show aired after “The Vampire Diaries” last year, but still, it throws the series into a pickle where it’s currently the weakest link, and you don’t want Ann Robinson to come up to them and say “goodbye.” (Look it up, young readers; you’ll be happy you did.)
