With “The Walking Dead” premiering on Sunday, this is the time in which many start to ask the big questions when it comes to some of their characters. So for Glenn and Maggie, for example, the question now is whether or not we are going to potentially see them advance their relationship to the next level yet again. Last season, they managed to deal with Woodbury and The Governor well enough in order to become engaged, but what about a wedding? Could there be a zombie ceremony in the works here?
Well, there are some problems with the idea of having such a self-congratulatory ceremony in the midst of everything else that is going on, which leads Lauren Cohan to say the following when talking about the subject to TVLine:
“Whether there is a wedding or not, we will see. It’s going to be really interesting to see if something that’s sacred is safer [in Glenn and Maggie’s post-apocalyptic world] or if it’s more dangerous because of how much they mean to each other.”
Some of the challenges that Glenn and Maggie are going to face for the show this year are the same that any relationship would … except amplified exponentially. They have new threats surrounding them, and while Maggie is going to try and settle in and enjoy the new society that has been set up, Glenn will continue to be more on edge.
