‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Damian Lewis returns in ‘Tower of David’

The new Brody -Are you ready for the big guns to arrive on “Homeland” season 3? While he was not a part of the first two episodes, Damian Lewis is going to be back for next week’s “Tower of David,” and there is going to be quite a difficult story to tell for him since he fled the country at the end of season 2. Just imagine everything that could have happened to him in the time in which he has been away from his family; it cannot be easy to hide from being a suspect of a war crime, but he has somehow managed to pull it off.

Before anything else, let’s start by explaining what is coming up via the official synopsis from the episode:

“Brody returns to his faith for guidance in an unexpected way when he finds himself facing increasingly desperate straits. Back in the U.S., Carrie struggles to connect with Saul when a mysterious man offers to help her but at a significant cost.”

By the end of ‘Tower of David,” we will perhaps know where all of the pieces of this puzzle fit together a little bit better than we currently do. Can Brody be redeemed, for example, and is Carrie really going to find her savior that is going to get her out of this mess? While the synopsis doesn’t mention her, you can surely believe that the story of Dana is far from over right now. While she was more of an annoyance at times last year, she has become one of the show’s most-compelling people as of late.
