‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3 spoilers: Is it possible for a Lemon / Wade hookup to happen?
One day before “Hart of Dixie” season 3 arrives on The CW, we arrive to talk about a question that has been floating around the internet ever since some of the first details came out about the new season: Are we going to see a hookup between Lemon and Wade at any point? Think about the variables here for a second: Jaime King’s character is going to be in a secret relationship at the start of the season, and there has to be a reason that she is keeping it low-profile. Also, they are going to be spending a ton of time at the Rammer Jammer together. Mixing a little business with pleasure is not something out of the realm of possibility, but we’ve never seen much in the way of romantic chemistry between these two characters.
We’ve learned here that the odds of that happening are a little less than the rumors initially suggested (and we are happy for it). Speaking to a local CW affiliate n Atlanta, here is what executive producer Leila Gerstein had to say on the matter:
“I honestly don’t know. I think it’s possible, but we will probably have them stay more like brother and sister with their relationship.”
This, to us, is fantastic news and for good reason. The last thing that we need to see at this point is for some of the romantic relationships within the world of this show to become even more complicated than they already are. If these two dated, then it would mean that Lemon would have been romantically involved with all three of the main male characters on this show. This is a feat that no other character on this show has obtained when it comes to members of the opposite sex, and we really don’t want to see that change now. Also it’s nice to have two characters that don’t have a romantic connection, but still have a very interesting relationship. As far as favorites go, the Lemon and Wade brother/sister dynamic is something that we are completely invested in.
Tomorrow’s premiere of “Hart of Dixie” season 3 will bring with it Zoe’s arrival back to Bluebell (which will of course cause drama), George in a strange place (as reported here), and Lavon and Annabeth’s relationship will still be going strong … with a few bumps here and there just to make things interesting.
