Is there going to be quite a bit of time spent between all of the major members of the “Hart of Dixie” cast early on during season 3? Based on what we are hearing right now, it doesn’t sound like it. Thanks to the presence of some new recurring characters on the show, what we will be looking at during the early stages of the season is a rather splintered story, with most of the characters all off doing their own thing rather than necessarily having just a ton of time to spend with each other.
For more on this, just check out what Scott Porter recently had to say to TVLine on the subject of what is going on, and why the presence of a certain other New Yorker not named Zoe Hart (and played by a “Dexter” alum) is causing Rachel Bilson and some other cast members to spend some time apart:
“With Joel in town… the five original regulars aren’t working together a whole heck of a lot. George is a kind of a satellite around everyone else’s storyline, and so is Wade. We haven’t as much together this season as I would like, but I’m sure it’s all coming.”
Given the formula that has been put in place for the show over the years, we have to believe that Porter is probably right. The early portion of the season is going to revolve very much around some guest characters that turn up and try to shake up the dynamic in Bluebell, and over time, the regulars will start to come together yet again.
What do you think is going to happen to Porter’s character of George this coming season? Of course, we want to hear some of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, click here if you want to read some more highlights from Cress Williams, Bilson, and others in video form.
