If you wanted one extra reason to watch or at least DVR (hey, we know “Breaking Bad” is on) the season 3 premiere of “Revenge” tonight, here it is: The nonsense related to the Initiative is going to be over. Fans know that this was the most-irritating part of the show’s second season, and in what we personally believe to a be a pretty hilarious move, the people responsible for running the show and ABC seem to be aware of this as well.
The script tease attached to this article comes to us courtesy of the show’s Facebook page, and it is as clear as day that Emily proclaims that this storyline is done. Now, you just have to hope that she and Nolan are able to keep this promise, and never talk about such a terrible scourge as this ever again.
Given everything else that we know is coming up on “Revenge” season 3, the good news here is that there may not be a reason at all to even think or talk about the Initiative at all. Months have passed since the drama at the end of season 2, and Emily Thorne will be focused more on trying to find some new ways to take down the Grayson family for good. Meanwhile, Nolan is going to learn how the other half lives courtesy of a prison cell. Suffice to say, they each have some more important things on their mind right now.
What do you think: Is this a smart move for ABC to make it this obvious that the Initiative is over? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, click here if you want to see the first scene of the new season, which features Emily in a very compromising situation (and with a bullet in her stomach).
