‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Adam Lambert begins filming, per Naya Rivera

It’s just three hours before the season 5 premiere of “Glee,” we have some more news breaking now when it comes to one of its most high-profile guest stars: Adam Lambert. The “Trespassing” singer is now in the process of filming his mysterious arc on the show, at least according to one of his co-stars in Naya Rivera.

In a post on Twitter, the series regular (who has been working with another major guest star as of late in Demi Lovato) confirmed the news by posting the following message:

“Happy glee day! Heading to work with @adamlambert @ddlovato @msleamichele @chriscolfer now!”

Now really, the biggest mystery out there pertaining to Adam is just what role he is playing on the show, and there is not enough reliable information out there to really call it yet. The only thing that we’ve “officially” heard from one of his co-stars was that he would be a “nemesis” to Kurt Hummel, but those comments from Chris Colfer were made long before now that they could have changed. Due to the scripts and the plan for this season being twisted so much due to Cory Monteith’s passing, news beyond episode 3 has become somewhat ambiguous.

The biggest thing to remember for now is that episode 4 is called “A Katy or a Gaga,” and if Adam does in fact first appear in this episode, odds are that he will probably be performing either a Katy Perry or a Lady Gaga song. After all, let’s be real here: Even though Adam can definitely act, it’s a waste of his talent on a show like this if you also do not have him performing in some capacity.
