‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Jared Padalecki teases ‘best story in long time’

Are you excited about “Supernatural” season 9 starting up? Jared Padalecki certainly is, and the great thing about his recommendation is that this is a guy who would not BS you just for the sake of getting you to watch the show. If he says that what is ahead is the “best season in a long, long time,” we’re inclined to believe him.

In the video below, you can see the man behind Sam Winchester explain some of the reasons why he thinks that the show has a great story prepared for the new year, including the physical struggle that we are going to see him go through as a result of everything that transpired with the trials at the end of last season. Padalecki specifically references some of this when he talks about his favorite moment from season 8, which was shooting the sequence with Mark A. Sheppard from the finale over the course of three days. We’ve already heard the sort of legendary stories explaining just how “epic” this time in particular was for everyone involved.

As for what Sam goes through in the premiere October 8, there is already some photographic evidence out there that he will be spending some unfortunate time locked up in the hospital, but he could meet up with a surprise guest that changes everything. There will be a flood of characters old and new in the premiere, and some of them could change everything when it comes to the way in which the Winchesters live.
