‘Supernatural’ season 9 premiere spoilers: Panic sets in for Jensen Ackles’ Dean

The latest -What does Dean have to worry about during the “Supernatural” season 9 premiere? As it turns out, quite a bit. You probably saw this picture yesterday, where Dean runs into Ezekiel and wonders seemingly why Sam is not in a hospital bed. So what exactly is he worried about? Basically, the worst thing possible in that his brother could die following all of the pain that he went through at the end of last season.

We have some official details now via The CW for “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here” (otherwise known as the season 9 premiere), and it suggests that some dark, dreary times ahead for not just Dean, but all characters as they struggle to cope with the new situation brought on in part by angels on earth:

“Dean (Jensen Ackles) is frantic after Sam (Jared Padalecki) collapses and the doctor tells Dean his brother won’t make it. Desperate, Dean sends out an all points bulletin via prayer to every angel in the area, asking them to help his brother. In exchange, Dean will owe that angel a favor. Numerous angry angels race to find and kill Dean, but one, Ezekiel (guest star Tahmoh Penikett), gets to him first. Meanwhile, Sam fights for his life and must face some familiar demons to do so. Castiel (Misha Collins) struggles to survive without powers. “

We don’t want to spoil too much in here, but one thing that we can definitely say for you to expect is the return of some familiar faces … and we are not just talking about Bobby here. One of the things that “Supernatural” really does right is bringing back so many people from the history, even some that are actually dead. In the end, they don’t care so long as they impact the story.
