‘Elementary’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Once’ veteran signs up to romance Joan Watson

The latest -The latest guest actor coming into the world of “Elementary” has been announced, and this time around, the show is apparently trying to look for cues from Broadway.

According to Entertainment Weekly, one of the original leads of the musical “Once” in Steve Kazee has been booked to play the part of a guy who Lucy Liu’s character meets while trying online dating. This sort of attempt by the character to find love is brave, and also unfortunately not something that Sherlock Holmes is going to be showing a great of approval for. Instead of being super-supportive about it, we are more likely to see him express some strong views about dating in such a way, and possibly angering her in the process.

We do ultimately wonder at the end of the day how Sherlock would feel if Watson eventually did get involved in some sort of long-term relationship, and he started to feel like it would be permanent. We have already seen how he reacts to the idea of her dating in general, but that is a little bit different from marrying someone. This is someone, after all, with some pretty complicated views on both love and trust, and someone whose views on these subjects are probably tainted even more courtesy of what happened at the end of last season courtesy of Irene Adler.

What do you think about this casting? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts below! For more news on “Elementary,” just be sure to head on over to the link here, and we will be back with some more news soon.
