‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Meet two strangely-named characters

Only on a show like “Once Upon a Time” can characters have such names as Keychain and Glasses, and it be seen more or less as no big deal. This is just yet another day for the ABC show, which has a motley crew of familiar faces that includes a pirate with a hook for a hand, a woman who spent decades in a mental ward, and a guy who claims to be “the dark one” and is capable of spinning straw into gold.

So what else is important about these two characters? According to E! News, they are both British characters in their 20s, and have developed a hard shell thanks to the years in which they have been forced into servitude. One of them (Glasses) is somewhat kind and put-together, the other (Keychain) is much more all over the place thanks to some of what he has been through.

One of the more interesting developments that will be worth seeing with these characters is if they are in Neverland, and if so, how they actually exist within this world. Aren’t people supposed to stay young forever there? The only real other theory you could offer up is that maybe they arrived there in their twenties, and have just merely stayed the same age since then. We’ve clearly seen with some other characters (think Rumpelstiltskin and Neal Cassady) that there are many ways within the land of fairy tales that you can use to fight aging. (Someone from a pharmaceutical company will probably try to offer up one of these characters millions in return for dishing their secrets.)
