‘Glee’ season 5: Dot-Marie Jones on Cory Monteith tribute episode

Take a look -As we inch ever closer to the Cory Monteith tribute episode of “Glee” season 5 airing on October 10, it is of course understandable that a good many out there would have plenty of questions all about it. We’re lucky that the press has found a way to ask questions, and get a little bit more in the way of information so that we are not left completely in the dark in regards to the hour’s story.

The latest bit of scoop comes courtesy of an interview that Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste) gave to E! News, where she had the following to say about how difficult it was for her to just read the script for the episode, let along move forward and start working on it with the cast:

“First of all, it took me two days to read [the script] because I couldn’t stop crying, from personal stuff and from the stuff that was written. “It’s one of the most beautifully written scripts I’ve ever read. Ryan Murphy and Brad [Falchuk] and Ian [Brennan] have written something that is just unbelievable.”

Dot also said that fans should love the tribute, mostly because there is really no way for them not to. We are confident that the episode will achieve the right sort of balance of heartfelt, emotional, and tragic, while at the same time giving you a reason to be hopeful and keep watching. That will be the challenge for “Glee” moving beyond this, as they have to find a way to stay entertaining.

“Glee” premieres on Fox September 26, and if you click here, you can take a look at some of the other latest casting news for the show.
