‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3: See Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, more in cast photo

Ready for the “Once Upon a Time” season 3 cast photo? Seeing the release of these sort of images has become a little bit of a tradition in recent years, and we are rather thrilled to have another one to share for you now.

This one, especially when it comes to color schemes, feels most more like “Lost” than it does something that could have existed during the pastel-heavy second season photos. It’s somewhat dark, gritty, and reflective in a way of what is happening in Neverland. Yet, at the same time, there are little reminders in these images as to who each person’s fairy-tale alter ego is. (With Hook, he’s still really just Hook.)

The new additions as series regulars this year are Michael Raymond-James and Colin O’Donoghue, who was promoted soon after his arrival last fall. Emilie de Ravin, meanwhile, has been a series regular since the start of season 2. It’s fun to see her included in this image right now, given that Belle and Raymond-James’ Neal are the two characters pictured here who are not actually on the way to Neverland. Belle is trying to take care of Storybrooke, while Neal is stuck in the modern-day version of the fairy-tale world thanks to what happened with Greg and Tamara at the end of season 2.

All in all, it’s still a pretty cool cast photo. We always do appreciate it when networks and creators try to do something that is a little bit outside the box, mostly because this is something that we are going to be looking at for quite a while until more images hit the internet next year.
