‘The View’ turns Jenny McCarthy’s debut into loud, ridiculous ceremony

She's here -Monday marked a big day in the world of daytime television, as “The View” debuted its brand-new cast, featuring a woman that first signed on for the job earlier this summer in Jenny McCarthy. She is someone that ABC knows well already, as she co-hosts “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” every year with Ryan Seacrest in Times Square. However, this is a very different beast with a different (and less drunk) fan following, and we have to say that she really did a pretty fantastic job with it.

What was a little bit more bizarre was just the sight of seeing “The View” have a panel of only four people including Barbara Walters, which means that they are going to be pretty limited on the days that she takes off unless there are some rotating guest hosts that come in on a regular basis. We imagine that this year will be in part a tryout, as the show looks to bring in various different women in order to figure out who else could be on the show next.

The most ridiculous part of this whole event? Well, let’s just say that you can see it in the video below. “The View” for whatever reason decided to turn McCarthy’s arrival into some sort of grand ceremony, including balloons, loud music, and standing ovations like the President walked into the room. It was all a little too enthusiastic for the morning, if you ask us, but we imagine that in the end, this panel could be more harmonious in some ways when you consider that we have lost the very conservative viewpoint of Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is moving on over to “Fox & Friends” this month.

Overall, what did you think about McCarthy’s “View” debut? If you want to check out some more news pertaining to the show, just be sure to visit the link here.
