‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: What familiar face is returning?

While we cannot say for sure just yet as to whether or not Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) is going to be living to see another day on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 10, we can at least confirm now that someone who has been very important in his life will be returning for at least one more episode moving forward.

In a post on Twitter, you can clearly see Debbie Allen’s character of Catherine Avery sporting a set of scrubs. Given that Allen retweeted the message, we like to think of this as a pretty strong indication that we are going to be seeing much more of her. Catherine is not only Jackson’s mother, but she and Webber have had quite a romance over the past couple of seasons, which has in turn created for some very awkward situations at the hospital.

While it would be a shock if Jackson does not spend any more time with his mother this coming season, we know already that he is going to have his hands full taking on a number of other challenges. He has his own relationship with Stephanie to worry about, and this is without even bringing up anything that is happening right now when it comes to April. Everyone knows that there are unresolved feelings there, and the question simply remains when (and in what form) they end up surfacing in the future.

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 10 will be back on ABC come Thursday, September 26 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and we are going to have plenty more news before that two-hour spectacular arrives. Just in case you absolutely cannot wait, hopefully finding out some more details about Meredith’s baby will make the whole ordeal easier.
