‘Elementary’ season 2 spoilers: More on a Mycroft suprise

The latest -During the early stages of “Elementary” season 2, a new force is going to shake up Sherlock Holmes’ life shortly after he arrives to London for the September 26 premiere. While you may be in some ways disappointed that we are not speaking about his father, it is definitely someone else who has made a tremendous impact on his life over the years: His brother Mycroft.

While these two will be teaming up in some ways, this is not going to be even remotely a happy reunion. As a matter of fact, executive producer Rob Doherty teases to TVLine that meeting up with Mycroft again was something that Jonny Lee Miller’s character did not even have on his radar for the visit. As a matter of fact, he almost prefers to think of him as a ghost:

“He really had no intention of seeing his brother or talking to him or even telling Joan that he exists. It’s not a very happy reunion, at least initially. But over the course of the episode, we try to find out what drove the brothers apart, what they have in common and what are their differences.”

This episode is going to be far from the only occasion where these two end up spending some time together. You will be seeing Mycroft again during the sixth and seventh episodes this season, where the show will be back to calling New York City home. As for what brings him there, that remains a mystery; however, we are very much hoping that the two characters are on infinitely better terms when they do start to spend more time together again.

If you watch the lengthy new teaser for “Elementary” season 2, we imagine that it could clue you in (insert laugh track here) about some of what we are going to be seeing soon.
