‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Days of Our Lives’ alum to play Lemon’s grandmother

Are you ready to meet even more of the Breeland family on “Hart of Dixie” season 3? We hope so, since you are about to see someone here who comes from a completely different generation to the oh-so-popular character of Lemon.

According to E! News, former “Days of Our Lives” actor Maree Cheatham has been cast for an upcoming role as Bettie Breeland on the CW series, someone who is strong-willing and very concerned about making sure that the family name is preserved in the best way possible. She also has some significant connections to the Southern belles, and wants to make sure that their best interests continue to be met.

So why is she going to be turning up? All we can say now is that she ends up paying Jaime King’s character a visit pretty early on after developing a set of concerns. We imagine that these two characters will try and talk things out from there, but whether or not these talks end up being successful is to be seen.

Given that King’s role on the series will be limited for the fall thanks to the upcoming birth of her child, we do expect that this story will unfold a little bit sooner rather than later. Even while Lemon is gone of part of this season, Bluebell will continue to be an active place. Annabeth will be more popular than ever thanks to Kaitlyn Black’s promotion to series regular, and we are going to have a variety of other faces turning up at some point.
