‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: A ‘Major Mystery’ ahead

What is coming up on “How I Met Your Mother” season 9? Well, you already know about most of it thanks to the way in which the story has been told. There is going to be a wedding between Barney and Robin, and to go along with that, we are also going to have that inevitable meeting between Ted and the famous “Mother” that we’ve just met in the form of Cristin Milioti.

But before we come to that, we have a major mystery ahead … specifically in an episode entitled “Major Mystery.” This name was first reported by TVRage, and it is said to be the tenth episode of the season.

As for what this could be about, it’s almost impossible to figure with a name as ambiguous as this. Maybe this is a placeholder, given that there have been times in the past where episode titles change closer to the date. Given that so many other titles (“Rehearsal Dinner,” for example) all are a little more concrete, we would not be shocked.

Ultimately, the biggest mysteries through the rest of “How I Met Your Mother” season 9 are really going to come in the form of the journey. For example, whether or not we are going to end up seeing Marshall and Lily take off to another country for a time, or how Ted and the Mother will say hello for the first time. No episode title can compensate for that.
