We’ve seen some pretty crazy flash challenges on “Ink Master” in the past, but nothing is going to top next week’s challenge… tattooing Dave Navarro.
A new preview for next week’s flash challenge (which you can see over at Spike TV) will focus on dimensions, so making the tattoo look like you could literally grab it off the skin. Each contestant will design, in American traditional style, two tattoos which are one good luck tattoo and one bad luck tattoo. Navarro will then chose one bad luck and one good luck tattoo and those two artists will each tattoo Navarro. The twist is that they will be tattooing him at the same time. This is the first time that a judge on this show will be the human canvas, making the stakes even higher and we wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few artists that might want to throw this challenge in fear of giving him a bad tattoo and putting a big target on themselves.
While some of the artists just designed their two tattoos, Jime designed like 20 different ones in hopes that with more choices he’ll be chosen over the other contestants. After seeing all the designs, Dave liked Jason and Tatu Baby for capturing his sensibilities, but as for who he would want tattooing him, he would want Jime or Joey since he feels their skills are better. So what did he decide to go with, best design or better tattooing skills?
Make sure you tune in next Tuesday at 10 p.m. on Spike TV to find out the results of the flash challenge as well as who will be going home next. If you missed last night’s episode of “Ink Master” and want to know who got eliminated, check out our review here.
