After going so long without “Sons of Anarchy” promotional footage, it’s starting to come out like a not-so-gentle downpour. You’ve likely seen some promos already over the past couple of the days, and the latest one below helps to really make one thing even clearer than it ever was before: Lee Toric is a pretty terrifying man.
You know already that the man can get physical if he needs to be (just ask Otto), but we expect most of his damage as a possible Big Bad this season to be a bit more of a mind game then anything else. He’s going to be in the background dealing with a variety of tough people, and this means some very, very bad news for Clay behind bars. Also, Donal Logue is completely killing this role already, and we’ve only seen just a handful of what he is capable of thus far.
Also in this promo, you get an even greater sense of the sort of pain that Charlie Hunnam’s Jax is going to be experiencing this season, as the weight of his position in SAMCRO starts to weigh on him more and more. There is also something completely harrowing about the shot of a church in the first half of the clip, mostly because of how empty it appears.
Even though the quality of this promo in particular is not the best, it’s still not difficult to figure out that September 10 (at 10:00 p.m. Eastern) marks the beginning of what is going to be an eventful season, and also one of the most violent, dangerous ones yet. Brace yourselves: This is really going to be a bumpy ride.
