‘Glee’ season 5 notes: Lea Michele’s recording session; Chris Colfer’s book news

What's next? -Now that “Glee” is back in the swing of things yet again for season 5, we’re thrilled to be able to get back to some more positive news after the tragedy of last month. It will of course to take some time for everyone to really move on past Cory Monteith’s death, but the actors are at least keeping themselves busy and working to move forward.

When it comes to Lea Michele, for example, she is already back in the recording studio cutting another track to appear on the show. Just be sure to see her post on Twitter for some evidence of this:

“Great session today at the studio with @alxanders for #glee.. Wanted to stay and sing with you all day:)”

It is nice to see Lea back to her tweeting ways. In the past, she has been one of the most-reliable sources of information out there for fans of the show, and hopefully she will continue to give us little indicators whenever there is a Rachel Berry solo coming up.

As for other news – Chris Colfer’s a best-selling author again! Given his fan base and the sales for his first book in The Land of Stories series, it was hardly much of a surprise at all to see his latest edition land on the New York Times Bestseller list. Nonetheless, it’s still an exciting achievement and something that he does deserve to celebrate.

Want to read about the author’s reaction? Just see what Colfer himself had to say in a post on his Twitter account:

“Amazing news! #TLOS2 is debuting as a New York Times Bestseller AND #TLOS is BACK on the list! Thanks to everyone who made this happen!”

Be sure to watch the first promo for “Glee” season 5 here, and stay tuned, as we’re going to have plenty more scoop leading to the return of the show on Thursday, September 26 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
