‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ preview: Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga’s heart-to-heart

Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode is turning out to be a pretty busy one for Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. The good news? They do not appear as though they are ready to start clawing out each other’s eyes at any given moment. The bad news? Melissa is actually putting herself in a vulnerable position with someone who may or may not have all of her best interest at heart, at least in her mind.

As we shared in the sneak peek yesterday, Melissa is facing rumors from the tabloids that she has been doing everything from seeing an ex to having a full-blown affair, and prior to a hair-care launch party that featured a conversation between Melissa and Teresa’s friend Jan, the two try to talk this sort of thing out. You can hate on Teresa all you like, but we actually think that she offers up some pretty good advice here. If you know that you are getting attacked, why try to stress yourself out by something that you know isn’t true? It’s better to just not let it get to you.

The best thing that Melissa can do (at least if she is not taking legal action) is to deny it, and then move on with her life. She clearly wanted to be on TV by virtue of signing up for this show, so she therefore has to expect that some opportunists are going to enter the picture and try to humiliate her in some way. Basically, the more attention that she gives to them, the more that these same people start to believe that their actions could be working to actually get to her in some way.
