At the start of “Arrow” season 2, we’re going to find out some rather great news for Katie Cassidy’s character of Laurel: She is joining the District Attorney’s office! However, there is some bad news that could come along with that once you remember that there is a certain tendency for stories in this world to become a little complicated.
As you may remember from the finale, Moira Queen turned herself in with the intention to try and make some things right after everything that transpired between herself and Malcolm. So with Laurel a part of the team that could bring her to justice, couldn’t that create some very-awkward situations? Based on what Andrew Kreisberg had to say to TV Guide, it certainly sounds quite a bit like it:
“This season Laurel is going to be joining the District Attorney’s office, so she might have dealings with [the trial]. Part of it is that she’s trying to stay out of it as much as she can, but as always with these things, bad stuff happens.”
Laurel is going to have a good many people in her corner while working her new profession, as there are some more actors, including “Orphan Black’ star Dylan Bruce, that are going to be spending a little bit of time with her. As for if any of these new faces poses a threat to Oliver Queen from a personal standpoint, that remains to be seen. We’re sure that he’s not going to be nearly as gung-ho about a relationship as he once was, given that he is now in a much different sort of position in the wake of Tommy’s death.
“Arrow” season 2 will return on Wednesday, October 9, and if you want to read some more news on the show, we have some casting news here worth checking out.
