While there may not be much in the way of plot information revealed yet surrounding the September 23 premiere of “Glee,” we do at least know this: Amber Riley is going to be a part of it! Despite no longer serving as a series regular for the character of Mercedes, she will still be featured in at least a few scenes, based on what the actress said on her Twitter account. We personally expect to see a number of former series regulars stopping by again leading up to the death of Cory Monteith’s Finn, which will be the third episode of the season. We’d personally love to see everyone back for that episode, even Dianna Agron if she is available. (It had been reported previous that she may not appear at all.)
As for a few hints as per some of the music in this premiere, which is the first of two episodes themed all around the Beatles…
1. Blaine (Darren Criss) is going to have one of the featured performances of the entire episode, and there are still rumors of a Klaine duet that will happen.
2. Rachel (Lea Michele) will perform something that is both sad and also reflective of the current place that she is in her life.
3. Many of the other stories romantically will carry over based on where they were left off during season 4, though that should not come as much of a surprise.
Most of the “Glee” cast will be present tonight at the Teen Choice Awards, so it may be possible that there is some more scoop dropped there. However, the top priority will likely be tributing Cory, who was actually a previous co-host for the awards show on Fox.
