‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Camilla Luddington on Jo, Alex, episode #200

The future -Grey’s Anatomy” is going to be in a celebratory mood for at least a small part of this season and as for the reason why, it should be clear by now: They have a 200th episode to celebrate! It is certainly not very often that a series can profess to this, so you have to imagine that executive producer Shonda Rhimes and the writers are going to have some pretty crafty things up their sleeves.

Are we right to make this assumption? It sure seems like it. Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Camilla Luddington suggests that the episode will be in part a “celebration,” and that not all of it is going to take place inside of a hospital. Does that mean that everyone’s going on a road trip where they meet up with a band of quirky characters? Probably not, but wouldn’t you want to see these egos try to debate who is going to start a drunken human pyramid?

Luddingston also cryptically teased the future of Joe and Alex, hinting that there is the possibility of some happiness breaking through this season after a roller coaster last year:

“There’s an exploration of where it goes between Alex and Jo this season … I’m excited to move on to a happier, healthier Jo.”

As for one other major cliffhanger from this past season’s finale in the electrocution of Richard Webber, no one is still saying one way or another than the character lives or dies. Luddington suggests that there are some “heartbreaking” things to come, but that could really translate into almost anything. Personally, we’re still going to hold out for him being okay, but deciding to retire from the hospital if he deems it necessary. In between Meredith’s family, Callie and Arizona, and the state of Cristina and Owen, we really have enough drama to last for a while.
