‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: Summer finale to feature Ravenswood, ‘World War A’

More scoop -If you were for whatever reason worried that Ravenswood was not going to make another appearance prior to the “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween special a little later this year, have no fear: We now know exactly when this town is going to be rearing its creepy head again, and it is going to be for undoubtedly the biggest episode of the summer.

Two weeks from Tuesday, this episode will arrive, and while ABC Family is keeping some details (including the name) close to their vest, they are making it clear that thanks to some of the Liars’ actions, they will set off a chain of events that leads to something that can only be referred to as “World War A.” Read the full synopsis below for more:

“An intriguing riddle from ‘A’ has the Liars hitting the road and heading to Ravenswood, where they are surrounded by some familiar faces. During a very special magic show, one Liar pulls a disappearing act, leaving the other three scrambling to make sure she hasn’t succumbed to ‘A’s’ tricks. But before they can hightail it out of Ravenswood, they make a shocking discovery that proves that everything they thought they knew about ‘A’ and the ‘A’ team might be wrong. With this discovery, the Liars may just have started ‘World War A.’

“Meanwhile, Hanna and her mother’s joyous reunion is cut short when ‘A’s’ sights are set on a new target. And Toby uncovers some surprising information about Wren.”

Yes, we know that Ravenswood is important, as is the thought of Ashley potentially out of jail and safe (if that is even possible), but what about Wren returning? This has been a character missing in action as of late, and we’ve long known that there was more to this creepy teenager-loving doctor than first met the eye.

The first preview for Tuesday’s episode suggests that Toby is going to be the next major target for “A’s” wrath, but we all know how this routine works by now: This mysterious figure goes from person to person, and no one is really safe.
