‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: The Flash to leave a lasting impression

Ready for the Flash? -At this point, the news must be starting to settle in somewhat: The Flash is coming to the world of “Arrow”! Or, at least Barry Allen is. The character’s entire story is not going to be set up during an arc in the eighth and ninth episode of the show’s second season, but part of it will be. As for the rest, we will see this story start to really explode in episode 20, which will serve as the backdoor pilot for a spin-off show, which could feasibly air on The CW as early as next fall.

For those of you who are keen to imagine that this character could speed onto the show and merely just impact the life of one Oliver Queen, think again. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says that everyone within the world of the show, and not just Oliver, is going to be impacted by what Barry Allen brings to the table.

Barry has quickly become the most-discussed character for “Arrow” season 2, and this is really saying something when you remember that this is a season that has already cast Summer Glau for a guest-starring arc. His character will actually change almost the entire fabric of this world in that you cannot have the Flash without some sort of superpower attached to it, and “Arrow” to this point has been more like “The Dark Knight” in that everything is dark and gritty, and the only powers are ones that you create with tons of shirtless training using a salmon ladder.

Is Barry the most exciting thing to you about “Arrow” season 2 right now? If you want to read everything else that is being said about the new season (and there really is quite a bit), just be sure to head on over to the link here.
