‘Burn Notice’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Can Bruce Campbell be the hero?

Burn NoticeWe don’t quite know what it is about the Sam Axe-focused episodes of “Burn Notice” that makes them some of our favorites, but the man just has a real knack for getting the job done, even if it goes beyond his physical limitations or resources. He’s the most unlikely hero of the team, and thus the most heroic in some ways. (It’s probably for this reason that we have people clamoring for a spin-off right now.)

So can Sam save Michael again Sunday night? He’s going to have a pretty clear opportunity to do so, as Jeffrey Donovan’s character is going to be very much in need. He continues to be a part of this CIA operation that is putting him into terrible (and not to mention deadly) situations, and if he continues forward with it, there could be a certain point in time where he gets in so deep that he’s not able to effectively get back out (which is something that nobody particularly wants to see).

You can read a few more details courtesy of the synopsis for the episode (via SpoilerTV) below.

“Michael questions his motives when he is assigned to take down a drug smuggler; Fiona and Jesse want to learn more about the organization’s leader.”

So basically, Fiona and Jesse’s storyline could be at this point a little bit more intelligence-based, but for the time being, we are just rather pleased to see the entire gang working together again in some respect. The show has built all of this back up slowly, and despite all of the roadblocks and hurdles along the way, we imagine that we could actually be getting now to the ending that (commence tears) we’ve wanted all along. Rejoice!
