‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: A much-needed Peter Pan promise

There is no greater mystery in the “Once Upon a Time” fandom right now than who is playing the part of Peter Pan. This is a character that was teased at the end of last year, and we really knew that they were going to appear eventually just based on the mere arrival of Captain Hook last year.

But when will we actually meet him? One of the reasons for that mystery right now is simply that the characters presumably are going to start off season 3 on the boat to Neverland, and while we know that they will arrive there soon enough, it may not be immediate. In addition, there’s a chance that they show up, and Pan is off doing some business somewhere else.

What we can tell you is this: As Lana Parrilla tells E! News, we will be meeting Pan at some point within the first five episodes of the show. Therefore, this is really a similar sort of timetable to when Captain Hook first surfaced last season. We may have an episode or two to get back in the swing of things with the characters that we do know, and then start to slowly trickle in the new faces. Remember, we also know that Ariel is going to be around this year based on the Comic-Con trailer, and no casting for her has been announced yet, either. (Given the hype around both characters, the assumption is that they would recur.)
