‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3 spoilers: Kaitlyn Black (finally) promoted to series regular

Just how long have “Hart of Dixie” fans been waiting for this move to happen? We had a feeling that it was happening from the moment that Annabeth was first spotted in a behind-the-scenes photo this past June.

According to a report from TVLine, Kaitlyn Black has been promoted to series regular for the third season in the role of the aforementioned Bluebell staple. For anyone who loves themselves some Annabeth, this has to clearly be a reason to be pretty excited. She’s been a regular presence in the community for some time, and her scenes tend to bring out some great stuff in both Lemon and Lavon. There’s also another pretty important reason for this promotion to be taking place at this given moment: Thanks to Jaime King’s pregnancy, we’re going to be needing to see a significantly larger presence for Black this year as Lemon spends some time away for whatever reason that the writers are currently planning.

As for what we hope to see from Annabeth this season, it comes down to one thing: Stability. She’s at times indecisive, and very often unlucky in love in a world where Zoe has multiple guys chasing her all of the place pretty much all of the time. Given that she is someone you want to root for it’s almost inhuman to suddenly want to root for the sky to start falling down on her, but this is “Hart of Dixie” and couples don’t stay happy for very long.
