‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Prepare for more Patrice

Let us hope that you are not tired yet of seeing Robin go off on a certain co-worker in Patrice: The woman responsible for the role is set to stage a big return now on “How I Met Your Mother” season 9. This news was first confirmed in a post on Twitter by none other than the woman responsible for the role in Ellen D. Williams, who shared photographic evidence that she was at the table read along with most of the cast.

As for why Patrice could be a part of the Barney – Robin wedding, despite Robin’s hatred for her and repeated insistence on telling her to “shut up,” there is a pretty darn good reason: She is responsible in many ways for helping to get the two together in the first place, thanks to that elaborate play that we saw take place on the two-part episode of the show that aired just before the holidays last year.

With this being the final season of the show, we would be incredibly surprised were this not a reunion in some way for the vast majority of the show’s former guest stars, or at least the ones that were once close to Barney and Robin’s past. Patrice is a pretty regular presence (though hardly a series regular), and what we are excited to see is how many obscure faces are going to end up turning up.
