‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Stephen Amell and the return of the island

Arrow

Want to take a look behind the scenes of the famous “island” on The CW’s “Arrow”? Now’s your chance. Stephen Amell has been hard at work on the show leading up to his travels to Comic-Con in San Diego, and this apparently includes getting the opportunity to film a little bit of footage away from the beaten path … meaning on the island.

So what does this “island” look like without the magic of television? Basically, like it’s the northerly version of something that we would see on “Lost,” minus of course all of the trees. Stephen Amell shared a new Vine video recently with footage from a shoot day, and the sunny skies that are present for this sequence is not exactly typical of what they see on the island more often than not.

Then again, can we really consider this tiny factoid to be much of a surprise at all? Remember that this is Vancouver that we are talking about here, which we are pretty sure translates to mean “pack your umbrella” in some unknown language.  There is a reason why so many of the scenes we see on the show are dark and either rainy or gritty: This is just often the way of the world here.

Expect a substantial amount of island footage to take place yet again on “Arrow” this coming season, judging mostly from the fact that Manu Bennett was promoted recently to a series regular. Unless he shows up in the present as Deathstroke, we have to assume that most of everything comes here from the past.

Is there anything that you are hoping to see take place on this island moving forward into “Arrow” season 2? If you want to check out some more news on the return of a “Big Bad” and other changes to the show, just be sure to check out the link here.
