‘The X Factor’ USA: Simon Cowell left without Demi Lovato, Paulina Rubio at audition

When “The X Factor” picks up with new episodes on Wednesday, September 11, we are going to see a number of interesting developments. What’s one of them? Think along the lines of all of the judges on the show leaving Simon Cowell on his own during a recent stop in Los Angeles.

So what happened here? Basically, Paulina Rubio was unable to attend in the first place thanks to a prior commitment; and then, Demi Lovato was ill and unable to attend, and then Kelly Rowland had to dip out at one point due to something important coming up. This left Simon Cowell to actually having to judge at least one contestant on his own, which E! News reported was something that he had quite a bit of fun with courtesy of jokes about how nobody could get in his way anymore of doing exactly what he wanted to do.

So do we think that this will make for entertaining television? Definitely. While we do miss seeing all of the judges together, there does come a time during the audition rounds where we start to become bored of seeing the same old thing time and time again. This audition could be a way in which to see a very different side of Simon, at least when it comes to him forcing himself to be the source of entertainment without anyone to argue with and bounce off of.
