‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Brooks Forester hometown date gives Desiree Hartsock pause

So what does Desiree Hartsock have to worry about right now when it comes to one of her “Bachelorette” suitors in Brooks Forester? Unfortunately, it could be concerns that this man may not be ready yet to meet her at the altar for some sort of grand wedding.

In a sneak peek over at E! News from Monday night’s episode, you can see Desiree and Brooks’ mother have a discussion about whether or not the Utah man (who apparently has a family that could compete against the Duggar clan) is ready to be married. Unfortunately, cuts away (cue dramatic music) right before you find out what the mother has to say on the subject.

There is something to us that is very awkward about all of these hometown dates: Forcing all these parents and siblings to be assertive and drag complete strangers away for chats. How weird must this really be? You’re also someone who may not really even be that interested in being on TV, but you are doing it mostly so that someone that you care about may find happiness.

Going into this phase of the competition, it is hard to consider Brooks as anything other than the complete favorite to win the whole competition. He’s been likable, popular with the other guys, and Desiree has seemingly been impressed with him every step of the way. She even mentioned on Monday that she was falling in love with him! (If that doesn’t make him the favorite, we don’t know what else would.)
