‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: The premiere title and more Cote de Pablo talk

(Update: Cote is leaving, but she will stick around for at least one episode before doing so.) As we near the start of “NCIS” season 11 production, why not kick things off here in celebration with some early details about the episode that you are going to have a chance on watch on CBS come September 24?

According to a new report from TVLine, the title for this episode is going to be “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” (in other words “WTF”) which to us is extremely bizarre given that this was also the title of a “Scandal” episode that aired this past spring. We are also set to meet a new character in this episode in Ozzy, who is supposedly “towering” man who is tasked with both finding information on an intruder and having to take down a hacker. There is also much more that will happen in this premiere, including seeing what happened with Gibbs that led to him being in that sniper position during the finale.

We want to spend a second on this Cote de Pablo situation, mostly because we know there has been some near-panic over her future status on the show thanks to her contract situation. What we can tell you now is simply this: If she was done with the show, we would have likely heard something before now given how scripts have been in the writers room for weeks on end. Her leaving the show at any time would be sad, but doing so at this point in the process would be devastating.

Even if there is some very difficult negotiating going on right now, we would be beyond stunned if she suddenly is not a part of this season in any form, whether it is as a series regular or recurring. (Plus, you have to remember that Gary Glasberg said in the spring that he was confident that everything would work out in the end.)
