The Studio season 2 premiere date: A May 2026 update
As we get closer to the end of May, are we going to get some more information on The Studio season 2 over on Apple TV?
It may go without saying in some ways but overall, the Seth Rogen series is going to be among the most-anticipated for quite a long time — and for good reason! After all, remember that the first season proved itself to be an enormous critical and commercial success. It also proves that you can spoof Hollywood without necessarily mocking every single person who is involved in the machine. That may have been extremely essential if the goal here was to find a way to bring some other big names on board season 2 — and based on some of the Madonna rumors, mission accomplished?

So when it comes to discussing return dates for The Studio, this is where we do have to share a little bit of the bad news. As great as it would be to see the show back sooner rather than later, that is just not happening. Filming started earlier this year and insofar as we are presently aware, there is no evidence of it being over. Our general feeling is that over the next few months, many of the powers-that-be are going to work to perfect things, whether it be during production or after during post. This is not an easy comedy to make due in part to the locations, the cinematography, and also all the big names.
If we are lucky, we will see the series return at some point early next year. We also imagine that there will be some sort of tribute, whether it be explicit or subtle, to the late, great Catherine O’Hara, someone who was an essential part of the first season and a longtime inspiration for Rogen in general.
