Dexter: Resurrection season 2: Meet The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger

While we wait for the opportunity to see Dexter: Resurrection season 2 over on Showtime, why not meet another villain now? This does feel like the proper opportunity to meet the Sleepy-Eyed Stranger…
According to a report from TVLine, The Last of Us actor Gabriel Luna is going to be appearing in the Michael C. Hall series as the aforementioned serial killer. It remains to be seen just how substantial the role here will be, but he marks the third major killer addition to the show moving forward. We already know that Brian Cox of Succession fame is going to be coming on board as Don Framt, otherwise known as the New York Ripper mentioned throughout season 1. Meanwhile, Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens is also going to be playing the part of the Five Borough Killer.

So what about familiar faces? Well, we know that Dexter is a franchise that can bring back people, living or dead, at almost any moment. It has been confirmed already that Krysten Ritter is going to reprise her role of Mia a.k.a. Lady Vengeance at some point, though it remains to be seen if she is still alive or if this is some figment of Dexter’s twisted imagination. One other person we would be curious to see again is Eric Stonestreet as Al, mostly due to the fact that he actually managed to get away from New York close to the end of season 1. The same cannot be said for a lot of Leon Prater’s other killer associates.
As for when Dexter: Resurrection season 2 will be arriving, our hope remains at some point this fall — yet, that is still not confirmed. At the very least, we know that production can turn this show around faster than many others out there.
