Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed season 2: Is it renewed, canceled?

Following the finale today on Apple TV, is there a chance that a Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed season 2 ends up happening? Or, have we reached the end of the road already when it comes to the Tatiana Maslany series?

Well, first and foremost, it is worth noting that in the current TV landscape, it is easy to miss a show — or never even hear about it! If you find yourself one of these people, here is how the aforementioned streaming service currently describes it:

“Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime — while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis — Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.

Now as for the future, here is what we can say — this was never meant to be a series that had some defined ending for season 1 and that was it. It also ended in a way that sets the stage for more. Apple has not confirmed anything as of yet, but it has performed reasonably well in some of its early numbers. (At the very least, we have seen it within the top five of their streaming charts rather often. That is a reason for hope.)

Speaking via Deadline, creator, executive producer and writer David J. Rosen does indicate that there is already a plan for more of Paula’s story.

“We do have it in our mind, where it will go. We wrote past the finale to make sure what we were doing would add up. But specifics, not really. And hopefully we have a second season, we can talk all about it, but we’re really excited for what’s next for Paula.”
